Premier Software is pleased to announce our newest service, Premier Automated Clearing House Services.  Premier Software is uniquely qualified to provide Clearing House services to the health care industry.  It was Premier’s Programmers (then working for GTE Healthcare) that wrote the UB-92 billing editor used by Siemens’ MedSeries4^®.  Premier Software knows electronic billing we’ve been doing is since 1987.  Our Electronic Remittance product (in use since 1994) processes 835 electronic remittance files and stores all remittance information in our Remittance History database, a customer favorite.  Premier Software was also contracted by Siemens Medical Solutions to re-write the UB-92 editor to update it to the new UB04 format as well as the 837I and 837P MedSeries4^® Editors.

Premier provides a competitive per claim transaction cost and includes an array of software tools that makes claims processing more manageable than ever before.  Enhanced Billing Edits, Claims Submission, Remittance Posting and Remittance History, Denial Management & Manual Payment Entry are all included and tied together with Claims Management, where, on one screen, you are just one key stroke from MedSeries4^®’s Account Based Inquiry. Our Claim Summary Screen ties all the claims from the same account to the Remittances received with the ability to drill down to the claim/remittance detail as received from the payors.

If that weren’t enough, all the above Clearing House transactions are automated, you don’t submit the claims, we do, you don’t go out and get the remittance files, we do.  If there is a problem claim, we identify it and place it on an automated work list of someone you’ve selected. You do not have to find the problems, we do; you just work the problem claims without having to find them.

Premier’s Clearing House and Claims Management is the only Clearing House solution, integrated (not interfaced), with MedSeries4^® on the Market today.  You no longer need to leave the System i5 (AS400) platform to process or work your files, in fact you feel like you’ve never left MedSeries4^®.  We support the EDI files: 835, 841, 837, 276, 277, and 997 (and other related standardized and non-standard electronic transaction formats).

Payor Specific Edits

Perhaps most exciting for a MedSeries4^® facility, is that our service includes what we call "Enhanced Billing Edits".  The most important element to efficient claims management is the creation of a clean claim in the first place.  MedSeries4^® clients already have a state-of-the-art Claims Editor, why not use the editor already installed and let Premier supply a library of Payor Specific Edits designed to create clean claims and rapid reimbursements. Additionally, Premier provides the customer with custom edits created for the small payer that isn't usually supported.

Faster Turn Around

In most cases we can submit the file the same day we retrieve it from the hospital.  Our solution utilizes your MedSeries4^®‘s Editor with Premier’s Payor Specific Billing edits before creating the claim file (ANSI 837). The Claim file (ANSI 837) is then routed to your payors after a final scrubbing. Faster turn around means your AR days are lower and your facility is more profitable.
