Financial Class AR Tracking                                                                    (Click Here for a GUI Power Point Presentation)

Financial Class Tracking is specialized software developed by Premier Software Associates to assist users in accurately tracking and documenting changes to patient accounts that relate to insurance carriers, payers, and other financially responsible parties.

The software acts as a detailed log book and is very useful in catching errors.  Every change made to an accounts financial class, whether accurate or not, is recorded and displayed.  It tracks who made the changes and when the changes were made.  It is useful in determining if the change was a user mistake or an error in day end processing.  Essentially all financial class account activity is recorded in a series of history files that keep a record of any and all class changes to an account.  It’s an excellent tool for identifying the source of account errors.

Data Mailer History

The data mailer history shows a brief description of a communication that was sent out to the patient regarding their account.  The two character message ID is defined by each hospital and is used to distinguish between different types of letters that are distributed.  For example, D1 might be the character code for advising a patient that their insurance carrier has covered the cost of their medical expenses and no payment is due.  D2 might be the message code for advising a patient that their insurance carrier did not cover the cost of their medical expenses and they are now responsible for payment.  Each time a communication is sent to a patient, it will be logged in the data mailer history.

Guarantor History

There are some rare instances when the patient and the person responsible for payment are not the same person. In such cases the guarantor, or responsible party, will be listed in the guarantor history file.  Each time the responsible party is changed that change will be noted in the guarantor history file.  It’s useful for those occasional occurrences when this happens.
